As many of you know my father died on the 21st of October. I have spent the last two days comforting and being comforted by family while trying to help make arrangements. Mixed in with all of this there have been periods of reminiscing of the man he was as we grew up and the man he became when Alzheimer took him. His love of golf ,football and Mickey Mouse. His hatred of suits. His stubbornness and his love of his family.

To all of you that have expressed your condolences in my sisters journal THANK YOU.

Found my soapbox of the month.  The "Warm Up America" Knit & Crochet out is the 16th & 17th of February.  The idea is to make parts of afghans that can be given to the homeless and low income families so that they have blankets to help keep them warm through the winter.

The group takes donations of knit or crochet pieces or encourages people or groups to complete an afghan and donate it to a local charity in their area.
